FEATURES: According to the official website, this haunt is based on a "true" legend of a light house operator who turned off the light from time to time, causing ships to crash; supposedly, he disappeared without a trace, and may still haunt the lighthouse. Near the entrance there is a tent where you can have a psychic reading performed.
BOTTOM LINE: This is one of the best single mazes we have ever seen -- elaborately decorated and filled with enthusiastic ghouls eager to scare the customers.
RELATED HAUNTS: Seaside Haunt is put on by the people behing the long-running Spooky House and Old Town Haunt.
REVIEWS: Read our review of the 2005 Seaside Haunt here. Read our review of the 2006 presentation here.
NOTE: Although there was talk of a change of venue in the hope of attracting greater business, Seasie Haunt remain in its familiar Ventura location for 2007. Please make the trip out there this year - we guarantee you'll be glad you did!
UPDATE FOR 2007: The revamped website for 2007 omits the confusing clown from 2006. Ticket prices have gone up slightly, but this is a haunt that definitely delivers bang for the buck..
VIDEO: Take a video visit to the Seaside Haunt. The newer video (from 2007) is a striaght walk-through of the maze. The 2006 video provides a good overview of the haunt, plus a behind-the-scenes glimpse featuring an interview with Mike Zatz and Erin Joyce.
